Mr. Singhal has over 40 years of experience in the industry and retired on December 31, 2012 as Joint President Operations with Jaypee Hotels.Having started his career on 1st September, 1972 with Centaur Group of Hotels with their flagship property at Mumbai Airport. He also worked at their Centaur-Delhi Airport property and finally left the group in the year 1989. While at Centaur he was instrumental in opening new restaurants both at Bombay and Delhi hotels. He was fully involved in setting up the Food and Beverage department at various levels, under the guidance of best names in the industry.In November, 1989 joined Jaypee Group of Hotels and worked with them for 23 years, till retirement. At Jaypee Hotels as the Joint President, had the opportunity of getting involved in various operational activities such as – Finance, recruitments, evolving policies, setting goals and help the staff in achieving them. Apart from these he was also involved in planning various renovation activities, new hotels, setting up catering units for the Formulae 1 Grand Prix, hospital catering etc.As a unit head he was very successful in building a cohesive team down the line and been very focused for the customer satisfaction by achieving more than 92% happy customers. Financially kept all expenses under check and always encouraged the team to find out ways and means of cutting consumption of energy, which resulted in Chief Engineer winning the Emerson Cup, 2012 for Energy conservation.All his units were certified ISO both for environment and systems and he always laid emphasis in maintaining highest level of hygiene which resulted in HACCP & FSSAI certification.After his retirement he headed a budget hotel group in New Delhi, for about 10 months. He has also Headed Unit Hotel Forum for 5 consecutive years and as part of self-development. With such varied experience, he can be an asset at a senior corporate level.
