My experience at Tata Motors Finance includes strong deep domain in Risk management forte. I have a strong knowledge of internal controls and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) project for implementation. The profile includes compliance with Companies Act and SOX 404 act with respect to management assessment of internal controls. Also being part of second line of defence to management, I am part of new product, process or system implementation for providing inputs on internal controls to be implemented. I was part of the implementation of AGILE project implemented by Parent Company i.e. Tata Motors Limited for its Group which was a more structure framework to be adopted at a group level. This involved updating Risk control matrices across various business processes and ITGCs for the applications under-pinning those business processes to meet the 10 design principles of the controls as per PCAOB requirements. The project also involved implementation of the digital tool for repository of RCM as well as documentation tool for controls testing as well as attestation. The project took 2.4 years to implement and then stabilise. As a part of my job responsibilities I also act as an internal constultant to business process teams to suggest them controls when they implement or modify the processes and also to remediate the control deficiences observation. I chair regular meetings and process walkthroughs as per project requirements. Over and above this we ensure Segreggation of duty controls (SOD) are maintained and help business teams to design mitigation for the SOD conflicts identified through GRC implementation by SAP basis team at the time of access provisioning.In short the role is to ensure adequate internal financial controls are place in the organisation and they are being testing independently and objectively both by management and independent auditors without having any significant deficieny or material weaknesses being reported.

Responsible for conducting statutory audits of corporates assigned to me. Handled corporated who are generally into financial services industries like NBFCs, Stock broking services, Venture Funds, AMCs etc. Worked closely with their accounts and finance team to ensure financial statements depect true and fair view and also provided immense value addition in terms of areas for controls strengthening.
