  • Ceco Digital
    Founder, Ceo
Ceco Digital Jan 2016 - Present
    Greater Boston Area
In 2016, I started Carter Edwards & Company as sole employee with no safety net and transformed it into a multi-million-dollar CX agency that invented the future for Boston's most notable brands which included Biogen, Fidelity Labs, Dunkin', Panera, Keurig, Toast, and more.I built one of the best agency teams in Boston by creating an atmosphere of trust, support when it's needed most, and a creative spirit that helped us uncover our best selves in the workplace.I partnered with Biogen’s digital excellence team to modernize their digital marketing practices, create an enterprise roadmap for digital services, and launch digitally-enabled CX initiatives. I helped break new ground in patient and HCP experiences that significantly sped up the speed of innovation while decreasing time-to-treatment. I led the experience design effort to define and launch a Fidelity Labs venture focused on the independent workforce. It was a ground-up effort to understand audience needs, align them to what Fidelity does best, and launch the pilot to learn in market. I helped invent for future for Panera’s loyalty program – the largest restaurant loyalty program in the country. The result was a loyalty vision created around their “clean eating” movement and extended into the employee experience.

I'm helping A&G transform from a traditional marketing services agency into a comprehensive brand agency by providing leadership in CX, team growth, and digital craftsmanship.
  • Sapient
    Creative Director, Experience Design
    Sapient Jan 2011 - Dec 2015
    Greater Boston Area
I started as a Manager of Experience Design and five years later found myself as a team lead for one of the largest experience design teams in the country. I attribute a lot of my success there to being able to combine sound user experience with solid storytelling and a bit of business acumen to move the needle for some of New England's largest brands. Some of my highlights include:Redesigned Staples Advantage which supports $3.2B in annual online revenue.Led the experience side of digital transformation for our third largest national account with Voya–America's Retirement Company. I saw an opportunity in working differently by combining experience designers with management consultants to deliver on service design. This was so successful that it led Sapient to start up their service design capability in Boston. Delivered on an eighteen-foot wide storytelling experience for Schneider Electric to be displayed in their Paris headquarters.I organized the Boston office to create their first volunteer community at scale, which included global research and best practices across 23 locations. I also led Sapient's off-campus recruiting program which included finding talent at Carnegie Mellon and SCAD.
  • Isobar
    Experience Design + Development
    Isobar 2007 - Feb 2011
As an interaction designer and creative technologist, I was able to sit between strategy, creative and technical execution to shape the "big idea" and remain on the team to contribute tactically; all while constantly engaging the client on a strategic level during day-to-day operations. Although the word “Technology” is part of the title, I am not a developer. I have a strong background in the creative process and am largely motivated to engage and connect with people in a relevant, original and impactful way.Client work included: Motorola, John Hancock, Adidas, Nikon, Boost Mobile and BCG.
  • Bit Group
    Sr. Interface Architect
    Bit Group Jan 2007 - Dec 2007
Bit Group was a smaller consultancy, and as such, we were required to do more than produce work. Here I was an integral part of developing client relationships, managing the workflow and budget of several projects, and learned the efficiencies needed to balance several clients at once.
  • Backbone Media
    Sr. Interactive Developer
    Backbone Media 2004 - 2007
In late 2002, I was one of three employees for a small SEO firm in Waltham. While others were focused on the metrics and strategy of SEO campaigns, I was responsible for all the creative and technology needed to build seo-centric websites from the ground up. Towards the end of my career there, Backbone Media grew to 13 employees and I was an integral part of the entrepreneurship needed to get us there.
  • Freelance
    Interactive Designer
    Freelance 2000 - 2004
This was one of the most exciting times in my career (other than right now of course ;). Over these few years I was working in NYC and Boston and contracted for some of today's most successful digital agencies, including R/GA. Other firms included JWT, Comedy Central, Random House and Digitas.
