I started as a Manager of Experience Design and five years later found myself as a team lead for one of the largest experience design teams in the country. I attribute a lot of my success there to being able to combine sound user experience with solid storytelling and a bit of business acumen to move the needle for some of New England's largest brands..

As an interaction designer and creative technologist, I was able to sit between strategy, creative and technical execution to shape the "big idea" and remain on the team to contribute tactically; all while constantly engaging the client on a strategic level during day-to-day operations. Bit Group was a smaller consultancy, and as such, we were required to do more than produce work. Here I was an integral part of developing client relationships, managing the workflow and budget of several projects, and learned the efficiencies needed to balance several clients at once.

In late 2002, I was one of three employees for a small SEO firm in Waltham. While others were focused on the metrics and strategy of SEO campaigns, I was responsible for all the creative and technology needed to build seo-centric websites from the ground up. Towards the end of my career there, Backbone Media grew to 13 employees and I was an integral part.

This was one of the most exciting times in my career (other than right now of course;). Over these few years I was working in NYC and Boston and contracted for some of today's most successful digital agencies, including R/GA. Other firms included JWT, Comedy Central, Random House and Digitas.
