I am working as a Foreign Guest Researcher at NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) in the Computer Security Division. My primary area of research: Cryptography and Artificial Intelligence.Cryptography: My research focus is on cryptographic algorithms and security analysis. Currently, I am working on theoretical and practical aspects of authenticated encryption schemes (or AEAD) in the lightweight category. Lynx: family of lightweight authenticated encryption schemes based on a tweakable blockcipher, and provides birthday bound security for integrity security (nonce misuse and RUP scenarios), and birthday bound security for confidentiality (nonce respecting scenario). I was also involved in validating and benchmarking implementations on various IoT hardware, for the candidates participating in the lightweight cryptography competition (LWC) at NIST. I have also worked extensively in biometric cryptosystems, and implemented several Iris Recognition Systems for extremely low power and resource constraint devices. I also implemented or analyzed several cryptographic algorithms/protocols at the kernel level. I developed ‘RevokeBIO C Library v1.0’ (Rockchip BSP), which received Korea Software Awards and Good Software certification under Article 20 (South Korea).Artificial Intelligence: I am working in the NIST Automated Vehicle Program, for autonomous driving in AV AI Team under Strategic and Emerging Research Initiatives (SERI).
