Electronics Engineer with experience in high-speed digital design and embedded processors/micro-controllers, in both the consumer and industrial sectors. Familiar with electronic CAD tools (Altium, PADs, Veribest) and LT-Spice, I2C, SPI, UARTs and memory buses.Lateral thinking, motivated and skilled in reverse engineering; with a strong background in Linux (application/kernel development) and Open Source. I am particularly interested in technological advances which are occurring with the `birth of consumer VR`.From always dismantling things as a child, I was 'geek-ified' when I was introduced to the ZX81 and VIC20. Starting with BASIC and 6502 Assembler in middle school I progressed to using Unix at University, and then Linux when starting with Pace in 1998.I have a passionate interest in technology (both hardware and software) which has formed the backbone of my career. I also have been involved with various Open Source communities and projects (often under the pseudonym `Mungewell`).In July 2004 I immigrated to Canada with my family, and took a year off to build an off-grid solar home where we now live in the Rockies. The area provides the outdoor life and all winter sports one could hope to enjoy, and I also find a `calm` satisfaction working on my various cars.
