He started his professional career as a control engineer within the State Hydraulic Works in the construction of Deriner Dam and HEPP, one of the largest dams in its class in the world and built by a multinational consortium. He has developed his engineering and management skills in many different units and jobs at State Hydraulic Works.He has made important contributions to the preparation of national legislation, regulations and directives used today in the fields of hydroelectric energy and flood control.During his duty, he undertook duties such as the Chairman of the National Hydrology Commission and a Member of the National Wetland Commission. He has been a moderator, speaker, and also on organizing committees at national symposia on hydrology, hydropower, dam safety and flooding. He went to many countries such as Austria, Bulgaria, Albania, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Tanzania, Malaysia, Sri-Lanka, China and Canada on behalf of Türkiye and contributed to the development of technical cooperation between countries. He also had technical and diplomatic contacts with neighboring countries such as Iraq, Syria, Iranian, Bulgaria and Greece on transboundary rivers.During his duty, he also ensured the dispatch and management of DSI's construction equipment in cases of floods and natural disasters.He is a member of the operation, maintenance and rehabilitation committee within the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD). He is also a member of the Chamber of Civil Engineers, DSI Foundation and Water Ambassadors Association.After working at DSİ for 21 years, he resigned from his position as Deputy General Manager and worked as the Türkiye CEO of Energo-Pro, based in the Czech Republic, specialized in hydroelectric energy generation and international energy trade, for 3 years. Energo-Pro, which has Türkiye’s first asphalt core rockfill dams and ranks 10th in Türkiye in terms of hydroelectric installed capacity; It has developed exemplary projects on many issues such as resettlement, improvement of livelihoods, social investment program, biodiversity, flora and fauna protection.Dağdeviren currently continues his professional engineering career at DOLSAR Engineering, one of the world's leading engineering consultancy companies.Dağdeviren wrote his first novel, "Uzaklarda"(Far Away), by combining his love for literature, interest in history, engineering knowledge and research skills. Within the scope of Deriner Dam and HEPP construction, 40,000,000 m3 of rock excavation, 3,500,000 m3 of dam body concrete, 935 m long and 12.5 m diameter diversion tunnel (discharge capacity 1803 m³/s.),energy water intake shaft, 123 m long underground powerhouse, underground valve chamber, energy tunnels, tailwater tunnels, overflow and orifice spillways, access roads and on-site roads have been constructed. The dam's two oveflow spillways and tunnel lengths are 420.86 m and 446.60 m, respectively. While the total discharge capacity of overflow spillways is 2,225 m³/s, the discharge capacity of eight orifice spillways is 7,000 m³/s.Installed capacity : 670 MW (4 x 167,5 MW, Vertical Axis Francis)Total energy : 2.117,75 GWhPowerhouse type : Underground The dam was built by a consortium consisting of Turkish (ERG İnşaat) and Russian (Technostroyexport) companies.
