I worked with our nation's top leaders in manufacturing, including political appointees, members of Congress, CEOs, luminary inventors, as well as the government, academic, and private technology R&D community. My mission is to improve U.S. manufacturing competitiveness, restore manufacturing jobs, and secure our nation.

Advanced Manufacturing Office, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable EnergyI worked with cutting edge manufacturing and renewable energy technology programs. I collaborated with other offices and agencies, such as the Wind Technologies Office (DOE), DARPA, and Oak Ridge National Lab and supported the Manufacturing USA Institutes program. Led independent studies on the state of the art in technology/policy/economics of e-waste recycling and of wide bandgap semiconductors.

My company developed an additive manufacturing system (3D printer) for making high-current electromagnetic coils for MRI. It was a spin-off of Weinberg Medical Physics.The technology I developed combines multiple materials (e.g., metal, plastic) in the same process. The machine is extremely flexible in design and function, ideally suited for R&D applications.

I was responsible for bringing product concepts to prototypes. I invented and built devices to address patient and market pulls. I led the high-risk/high pay-off projects.I gained strong and broad technical experience in material science, IC microfabrication, nanotechnology, chemistry, machine design, optics, fluid dynamics, electronic design, 3D printing. I am a natural communicator of complex science to general audiences.
