Effectively fulfill short-term substitute assignments across all subject areas for academic grade levels 6-12 in the socioeconomic and culturally diverse DCPS system. Utilize workbooks, visual aids, group discussions, tests, quizzes, and other hands-on tools and exercises to ensure daily objectives are met. •Manage classrooms for up to 4 periods, 80 minutes each, with approximately 25 students each period, per day. Utilize effective problem-solving techniques, behavior redirection, goal setting, and performance evaluation.• Praised for reliability, effectiveness, and post assignment communication. Provide daily reports to permanent teachers about assignment(s) and/or activity progress in the classroom.• Developed a substitute-teaching help guide for 13 out of 15 DCPS high schools. The guide includes logistics, essential contacts, layout, schedule, and other helpful information that improved communication and increased the ease of completing substitute assignments.
