I am currently completing my PhD and Masters of Clinical Psychology. My PhD is focused on the impact of concussion/mild traumatic brain injury on cognitive functioning in professional sports people. My research will also investigate the mental health and wellbeing of Jockeys.I have worked in the horse racing industry for 15+ years in both New South Wales and Victoria. In 2011 I decided to challenge myself and enrolled in University and I am now completing my third and fourth degrees. Throughout my time at uni I have continued to work within the horse racing industry on a part-time basis. I am enjoying conducting research in the racing industry and hope that it will result in real industry outcomes. I hope to also continue to expand my research and look at the role of concussion and mental health on sports people from a variety of codes including rugby league.
