Accreditation and verification responsibilities for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. This involved confirming the identity and security clearance for all participants, officials and media. This was a complete team effort and I had the distinct pleasure of working both in Vancouver and within the Olympic Village in Whistler. I also had the opportunity of acting as an on site host for the athletes assigned to the Whistler Village.

Was asked by my former employer, to whom I had been providing consulting and govenrment and sponsorship relations, to return to work full time. The need was to relocate from Ontario to British Columbia and reshape the existing British Columbia operation. This included establishing a more appropriate office location and recruiting new employees, focusing on growing the business and establishing postive relationships with existing customers. In addition, for our first revamped year, created a comprehensive corporate sponsorship with the Vancouver Canucks to enhance brand recognition in Vancouver. After approximately eighteen months, I was asked to add responsibilities for business development for the Province of Alberta.

Delivered management consulting, business coaching and government and community relations. Worked very closely with Federal Government officials to develop and introduce programs supportive of my clients' business objectives. Served on an inter-provincial committee to develop Green House Gas reduction programs to drive Federal activities. Also served as liason for a corporate sponsorship with the Ottawa Senators and the Senators' Foundation. A key accomplishment was fund raising and active participation in the opening of Roger's House at the Children"s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

After the aquisition of Enbridge's service business, I was retained by Direct Energy to head the services operation based in Philadelphia, PA with full P&L responsibility. Accountability for mid-Atlantic markets and development of Texas services business centered in Houston. The business included over one hundred and fifty employees in the Philadlephia area and completed twenty thousand customer home appointments each year. This position reported directly to the President of Direct Energy's US Division headquarted in Stamford Connecticut.

Senior Executive Officer of Enbridge PA, and a Director of Enbridge US, headquartered in Minnesota.Key activities included the responsibility to introduce Enbridge's service model to the the mid Atlantic Region of the US. This involved establishing and hiring a local management team in Philadelphia, establishing an operations centre and corporate office, and aquiring six local businesses to create a comprehensive business model for the region. Also interacted with the State Public Utilities Commission and served within a state business development group acting on behalf of the Governor's office.This position also afforded me the opportunity to work on a special assignment with advertising and communications firms in New York City and Toronto. The outcome of this team effort lead to the creation of the "Enbridge", name and brand, replacing the Corporation's former divisional names and identities.

Responsible for corporate marketing activity for Ontario, Quebec and New York State. Included development of comprehensive marketing plan and programs for each of the Company's operating areas. Was lead for a highly professional group of seventy market and technical experts. And they were great! Also acted as key marketing executive testifying in Ontario Energy Board hearings, related not only to marketing activites but energy efficiency and demand side mangement programs, and system expansion initiatives.
