Co-Director and later Director of NSF-funded project on undergraduate computer use in calculus. Planned, and supervised creation of, and directed operation of a new departmental undergraduate computer lab. Led a department of some 50 faculty and supervised an associated professional and secretarial support staff. Responsible for departmental budget. Prepared long-range planning documents. Wrote recommendations for all faculty personnel actions.

Assisted Head with all aspects of departmental operation. Directed the search for nearly a dozen new faculty, including conducting negotiations with chosen candidates.

Taught a range of undergraduate courses, calculus and beyond, as well as graduate courses in topology and dynamical systems. Authored 7 research papers. Research journal referee and Math. Reviews reviewer. Authored an advanced undergraduate text, "Axiomatic Theory of Sets and Classes." Actively served on departmental and university committees.
