As the Group CEO of Signa Group for over 12 years, I lead an organisation that is committed to "Preparing Africa for a Working Future" by investing in technologies and solutions that address some of the continent's most pressing challenges. My core competencies include new business development, analytical skills, and people management, which I leverage to identify and support high-potential ventures that deliver social and economic value.Some of the innovative projects that I oversee at Signa Group include Riot Network, a low-cost wifi provider in underserved areas; B1SA, an e-commerce and governance enabler for small and medium enterprises; Signa Opportunity, a job creator for unemployed youth through managed internships; Signa Academy, an adult education provider for people with disabilities; Artisans in Motion, a world-class artisan training program; and Invequity, a private equity fund manager that employs a unique "bespoke" model to blend sources of capital for investing in high-impact African entrepreneurial ventures. I am also a Charter Member at Entrelliance, a global community of founders, mentors, and investors working together to build great companies in a different model where the focus is on leadership and close collaboration over years to unlock the full potential of human capital. Additionally, I am a YPO Member of Johannesburg Gold chapter and a recipient of the Star of Africa award for transformation and job creation.
