Operations Manager for Red Sea Housing Company PNG Limited, part of Red Sea Housing Services.Ensuring organisational effectiveness through leadership, monitoring and reviewing all aspects of our operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. QHSE is a large part of my role to ensure we meet health and safety targets and continually improve our Quality Management System through monitoring, auditing and customer feedback. I also offer assistance to the HR team as needed and take on the role of Acting General Manager when required.

As the QHSE Compliance Manager I am tasked with managing all aspects of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment for Red Sea Housing Services in Papua New Guinea. Development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and training for all employees on the use of the QMS. Liaison and coordination of ISO Audits and all other related requirements.Client liaison in all QHSE related matters and preparation of QHSE information for tenders and quotes.Project QHSE site inspections, audits, toolboxes and training are all frequent aspects of the role.Management and advice to other team members on compliance to PNG legislation, codes of practice and where required by the client, other legislation or codes from other countries.

Development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System in our Australian Head Office and other company locations in the Asian Pacific region.

Management of the Integrated Management System which included the Quality, OHS and Environmental Management Systems. Looked after the manufacturing team and contractors work health and safety including injury management and rehabilitation and return to work coordination.Preparation and assistance with HSEQ requirements in the tender process.Management of contractor pre-qualification and inductions.

Looking after the Quality Assurance and OHS management systems with a focus on corrective action plans. I was also the Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator.

Responsible for the ongoing management of the Integrated Management system which includes safety (AS/NZS 4801) and quality (AS/NZS ISO 9001). I was also the site Safety Coordinator, WHSO and RRTWC.Duties also include training, safety toolboxes, management of the safe work method statement system and general site administration.From 2002 - 2004 I was working as an operator on the production line the Hendra manufacturing facility for Fletchers Wood Panels / The Laminex Group.

I have had previous experience with three different soft furnishings companies. Duties included manufacture and installation of blinds, awnings and security doors and windows. I also have experience in warehousing for a textiles/soft furnishing company that supplied the government / hospital / nursing home sectors.
