Mutala Mohammed, Ph.D Email and Phone Number
My current research portfolio spans on many aspects of solid waste management and recovering energy from secondary resources (wastes) focusing on green and biodegradable waste. This is to provide better sanitation and thereby reducing the effect of waste and waste management on the environment and human health. Other fields of interest are environmental chemistry, environmental risk assessment and water and wastewater quality evaluation with specific interest on the harmful effects of the use of pesticides on agricultural produce and the utilization of organic waste and wastewater for biogas production. Due to my multi-disciplinary background, my research vision is to advance the agenda for sustainable recovery of waste for energy production with particular interest in agro-waste. As a young and upcoming scientist, I am also willing to learn, apply and contribute to an innovate research that would inure to the benefits of the environment and societal development at large.
