I founded Kladika out of necessity after I went through the challenge of getting my graduationoutfit together. After much research, I realized a lot of small retailers in the Apparel & Beauty industry get left out in the digital space. Hence we addressed this problem by providing an end to end digital selling process for small retailers in the clothing retail space. With the clothing retailing market worth $31 billion in Africa and $1.8 billion in Kenya, there are upto 2 million retailers who lack the necessary digital tools for managing and financing their business. We built kladika.com, a webapp that will enable small retailers in the apparel industry to build online stores, have access to digital business management tools and stock financing.As the founder of the company, it's my responsibility to make sure the vision of the company is achieved by laying out proper structures to help with the day to day activities that will lead to the actualization of this vision. I am responsible for developing structures that include setting up the right software development methodology fit for the company, marketing and selling strategy, business development bringing in key partners to collaborate with, but specializing in business development and product management.One of the roles that I genuinely enjoy is that of a product manager. I enjoy managing and following the product life cycle very closely, from research, planning, building, testing the product and refining. This has resulted to successful 3 iteration of the product and seeing a customer interact with a product that you discovered the problem for to finding a solution that they enjoy, is the biggest joy in my life, in fact this is the reason why I do what I do.
