Service Delivery ManagerBlyk Jul 2007 - Nov 2008Blyk was a "free" ad-supported mobile phone network (MVNO) that offers text messages and customer-to-customer calls. Blyk was first launched in the UK. It was the first mobile network funded by advertising, and was targeted at 16 to 24-year-olds. Users signing up to the network received advertising messages on their mobiles, and in return were given a monthly allowance of free top-up. I joined Blyk prior to commercial launch, helping to develop operations processes required by the ad ops team and managed all the campaigns that were placed by the sale team for the first 4-5 months.- Working on special projects as the business required, advising department heads and the sales team in developing interactive, dialogue based, communications strategies based on knowledge of the platform’s capabilities.- Recruiting & managing the ad operations team to ensure that the daily scheduling of Blyk communications is delivered on time and to high quality.- Monitoring the delivery of ad campaigns, troubleshooting incidents and prioritising fixes required by the development team in Helsinki. - Managing end-to-end ad testing process (both internal creative and third-party aggregator solutions; short codes, WAP sites; voucher redemption).- Working with the creative department to test, categorise and implement a system to allow pixel perfect MMS and Video on the top 100 handsets in the UK.I also co-ordinated the following; SIM Dispatch Logistics; Member Authentication; Member Profiling; First-line Ad Platform Troubleshooting and Resolution.
