I lead Mount Olivet’s Senior Choir rehearsals (Minneapolis Campus) when our head directors are unavailable. I also serve as Tenor 1 section leader throughout the church choir season.

Border CrosSing’s mission is to integrate historically-segregated audiences and musicians through the performance of choral music. It envisions a landscape where singers and audiences more closely reflect the racial and cultural composition of the Twin Cities, Minnesota.Their work has impacts on multiple levels: 1) professional choral music performances that have led to successful collaborations with Minnesota Orchestra, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Sphinx Virtuosi and more,2) educational outreach in schools and direct community engagement in singing through Heritage Choir, and3) audio recording and sheet music publishing to make Latin-American works more easily accessible.

I was the Inclusive Excellence Liaison to ASU's President, I sat on the President's Cabinet, I chaired the President's Advisory Group on Equity, and was part of the Community for Inclusion, Equity, Leadership, and Opportunity (CIELO).Initiatives: 2020 Campus Climate Survey, ASU Formal Land Acknowledgement Statement Development, ASU 100 Events

I taught applied voice to music performance majors, music education majors, and music minors and held a weekly studio class for these students.Courses: Vocal Pedagogy, Song Repertoire, Lyric Diction 1 & 2, Opera Workshop, and Voice Methods

I taught voice to students of a wide range in both age and experience level, from young beginners and advanced high schoolers to semi-professional and avocational adults.

I taught private voice to undergraduate Music Therapy, Music Business, and Music Education majors. I also held a weekly studio class for all my students.

I taught secondary voice lessons to undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Rochester and the Eastman School of Music as well as Eastman's Voice Class for non-majors at the University of Rochester.

I was the tenor section leader and soloist for the Asbury Singers and the Sanctuary Choir.

I worked as a Crew Leader Assistant (CLA) during the Nonresponse Followup (NRFU) and the Nonresponse Followup Vacant Delete Check (NRFU VDC) operations of the 2010 Census from late April through mid-July. My responsibilities as CLA included: reviewing Enumerator Questionnaires (EQs) and Enumerators' time sheets before submission to the Local Census Office (Bedford, TX); observing Enumerators during field work and providing guidance and reinforcing techniques and procedures learned from training; serving as the liaison (for materials, forms, information, communication) between my Crew Leaders and the rest of the Enumerators in my group; performing regular tasks as an enumerator. I acted as interpreter for any respondents who could only communicate in Spanish, conducted the interviews in Spanish, and completed the corresponding EQs. As well, I was assigned to seek further information on respondents who were difficult or refused to provide any information.Official Description from the Census Bureau:The CLA assisted the Crew Leader in guiding and directing the work of Enumerators engaged in field data collection. The CLA received the following hours of training: NRFU CLA - 37.75, NRFU VDC CLA - 12. The CLA assisted the Crew Leader in: 1. Conducting group training sessions for Enumerators, using verbatim training guides, and instructing the team in procedures for collecting data. 2. Instructing Enumerators in proper field techniques, and conducting observations of enumerators in the field to provide on-the-spot assistance and guidance.
