• Lead a team of nine (drafters, designers, and engineers) designing new products and providing sustaining engineering support for customers and our manufacturing facilities.○ Covered products such as cable cleats, crimping tools & dies, power connectors, stainless steel cable ties & tools, terminals & ferrules, and wiring duct.○ Performed quarterly and end-of-year reviews for all team members and completed the annual merit process.○ Worked with product management and our manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico to review long-term product support, work through issues, and plan upcoming projects.

• Lead engineer for Industrial Zone Enclosures & Industrial Data Center (IDC) product ○ Responsible for meeting customer thermal and power requirements on standard and non-standard products ○ Collaborated with product management & developers for Universal Zone CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) tool. ■ This tool allows customers and the sales team to select from various enclosure sizes & attributes, power systems, and copper & fiber systems.• Customer liaison & Panduit engineering lead for updated design of Industrial Demilitarized Zone (iDMZ) kit that allows firewalls, DMZ switches, and other IT equipment to be deployed into Industrial Data Centers. ○ Responsible for power analysis and customer fiber & copper cable routing for equipment interaction• Initial lead developer for the cassette slack transition tray/handle that manages fiber optic cable leaving cassettes in the Panduit FlexCore Optical Distribution Frame (ODF).

• Developed and maintained multiple product lines in the INI team ○ Maintained the IDC product line with product improvements driven by new customer requirements and production feedback ○ Maintenance and improvement of internal documentation, creation of new non-standard Zone Enclosures integrating cable management, industrial switches, and industrial power supplies within one assembly• Designed and implemented the mold for the Single Service Port (SSP) ○ This product integrated Mini-Com™ jacks within circular cutouts• Visited current & potential suppliers and visited Panduit engineering offices in Wuxi, China; discussed product roadmap with Panduit business team in Shanghai, China

• Lead mechanical engineer for the development and manufacturing of IoT product offering ○ Responsible for launching the SynapSense 900 Wireless Sensor product line consisting of over (100) SKUs spread across (4) frequencies ○ Consulted with compliance team to get safety and wireless regulatory approvals for countries around the world

• Expanded & supported SmartZone­™ PDU product line with non-standard build requests

• Subject matter expert on the Panduit SmartZone­™ Network-enabled power distribution units (PDU) helping to launch over 130 SKU’s in less than 2 years ○ Responsible for creating the engineering specifications and drawings for all PDU internal components ○ Product engineering lead on all aspects of the design including electrical configuration, mechanical configuration & packaging, product compliance, quality, and product verification & process validation (DVP&R) ○ Collaborated with the manufacturing & engineering team to create internal wiring schematics and engineering standards on all PDUs ○ Supervised prototype construction at the contract manufacturer in Wales, UK to work through design issues found during the first build• Consulted for the Panduit Net-Access™ N-Type and S-type cabinet engineering team during development to provide routing paths through the cabinet frame for door and temperature (patent US 13/922,777)

• Engineering lead on Panduit PanView iQ­™ (PViQ™) Power Outlet Units, a $5.0M+ PDU product offering ○ Responsible for creating the Engineering specifications and customer drawings for over 450 SKU’s ○ Performed design analysis of possible defective units and worked with the supplier to find root cause on product concerns arising in the field and internally• Lead project to design and implement a series of brackets for environmental sensors routed through Panduit cabinets

• Cross-functional team member that designed, prototyped and implemented into manufacturing a PViQ Networked Power Outlet Unit. ○ Responsible for initial draft of the manufacturing build process for this product• Responsible for completing competitive analysis, conduction component design verification testing, executing design reviews, and supplying data analysis on numerous departmental initiatives

IIT ENPRO 360 - Green Building Design: Oak Park (An Entrepreneurial IPRO)Conducted research on green building technologies for a work/life development that could be implemented in Oak Park. Other team members worked on the design of the building and dealt with incorporating the green technologies determined to be most useful. The research and design were presented to owner.
