The Synthetic Perceptive, Emotive and Cognitive Systems group SPECS is a multidisciplinary group that is part of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona.SPECS uses synthetic methods to study and synthesize the neuronal, psychological and behavioural principles underlying perception, emotion and cognition.I Assisted in the communication strategy for the European FET Flagship Initiative: Robot Companions for Citizens. Created content for the project blog which treats advancements in biomimetic and biohybrid technologies as well as issues relating to ICT and society. The project was one of six initiatives considered for one billion in Euro funding from the European Commission in 2012.
