All purpose geek. Mostly networks, but into pretty much anything that's moving 1's and 0's. I savor technical challenges. The more intense the challenge, the more intense the satisfaction. I am prone to writing scrips to simplify or automate anything that I have to do more than once or twice. I've spent more than two decades building high performance WANs all over the planet. When not building networks for others, I am building them for fun and education in GNS3 and helping others with their network gremlins.I've been a vocal proponent of IPv6 proliferation since the late '90's, having cut my teeth on IPv6 using the IPv6 stack for Windows NT from Microsoft Research before quickly shifting to FreeBSD using KAME on the 6BONE via kind folks at Cisco. I ran BGP using Zebra (later Quagga) over my v6-in-v4 tunnel to Cisco's IPv6 lab to obtain a full table for ASpath-tree and transitioned that connectivity to OCCAID when Cisco shutdown their lab to public tunnel termination. Today, I have my own IPv6 prefix and ASN from ARIN and have both tunneled and native IPv6 BGP peering with multiple providers.
