My Phan has PhD in clinical research and expertise in molecular biology and phylogenetics. She is describing enteric viruses epidemiology, evolution and zoonosis patterns. Most recently she has helped with rapid sequencing of Ebola in Sierra Leone as well as supporting the Wellcome Trust-Vietnam Initiative on Zoonotic Infections (VIZIONS) project.My Phan is a committed molecular biology scientist with more than 5 years experience in internationally leading research institutes and universities (e.g., Oxford University, Sanger Institute). My Phan has strong skill and working experience in large-scale Next Generation Sequencing, de novo assemblies, Python scripting and phylogenetic analyses of RNA virus evolution.My Phan also has experienced in mentoring, coaching, training and developing junior team members. Through experience to date she has acquired project management skills (project planning and delivery).
