My main responsibility at UNICEF is to design the Education Management Information System (EMIS) for the Department of Basic Education (DBE) Apart from EMIS, I also manage other data related works such as comprehensive school checklist/ classroom observation for child friendly schools and township profiles of all townships where UNICEF activities took place. During my 3 years at UNICEF I also involved as a member in M&E committee and Education programme such Township Education Improvement Planning and School-based In Service Teachers Education. I also conducted several workshops and training on EMIS software and data collection at central level as well as township level Education staff of DBE. There were several data related works I did at UNICEF such Post flood and landslide need assessment and township profile data of all project townships. In my previous job, I was responsible for managing the database driven web application used for student grading and student performance evaluation of high school. My previous job was Database and Network administrator at Horizon International Education Centre. The database used was MsSQL client-server system. I was responsible for database admin tasks and troubleshooting for database related problems. Under my management, backup for database was periodically taken with incremental backups. The network environment I managed contained ISA server for security and web caching proxy, IIS server for local school database. Show less
