Binnen IKNL ben ik werkzaam in het team 'Kanker en leven' waar ik mij inzet voor het verbeteren van de gevolgen van kanker en de behandeling.Momenteel werk ik aan het beter toegankelijk maken van zelfmanagement tools en apps voor mensen met en na kanker en hun naasten. Dit doe ik door mijn betrokkenheid bij het opzetten van de kanker.nl Appstore.Eerder werkte ik op het reeds afgeronde project 'Effectieve implementatie van evidence-based psychosociale interventies in de zorg voor mensen met kanker'.

Eindredactie werkzaamheden voor het tijdschrift van de Nederlandse Vereniging voor de Psychosociale oncologie, dat vier keer per jaar wordt gepubliceerd.

Personal Body Plan, founded by Tom Barten, is 'Your Personal Trainer, Lifestyle Coach and Nutritionist in your pocket’ As a Personal Body Coach, I supported members by means of online tools to build and maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

As a PhD candidate at the AMC/NKI-AVL, I worked on a cross-sectional research project to investigate the late effects of adjuvant chemotherapy on neuropsychological performance, MRI brain function and brain structure in breast cancer and testicular cancer survivors. The Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging of the University of Glasgow (CCNi) represents an interdisciplinary effort to advance the understanding of the complex relationship between the brain, cognition and behaviour‌ at multiple levels of analysis. It brings together researchers with an interest in cognitive neuroscience, functional neuroimaging, neuropsychology and computational modelling. The CCNi is developing new met‌hods to further understand brain mechanisms and train interdisciplinary scientists in the use of those methods and techniques.Responsibilities: Investigating the involvement of brain regions in spatial perception through repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), resulting in a master thesis.

The Image Analysis Center (IAC) is an academic CRO specialized in neuroimaging analysis. The scientific staff associated with the IAC is involved in scientific projects focusing on improvement or MR image acquistion and evaluatuation in neurological diseases. Advanced academic research may lead to improvement in MRI assessments and methodology, which, in return, will improve the quality of trial data. Responsibilities: Performing lesion count and indicating lesions on MRI-images of the brain by means of markings.
