CurrentMike Zimmer is a Principal Consultant for Trinity Consultants' operations in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati. Mr. Zimmer has more than 30 years of technical experience in the air quality field assisting clients with air quality management (auditing, regulatory strategy assessments, compliance reporting and management tools, emission inventories, meteorological and ambient air quality monitoring plans, ozone depleting substances), dispersion modeling (increment, NAAQS, Class I Area, AQRVs, odor, litigation support, BART, project-level conformity determinations, air toxics), and permitting (Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana installation/ construction permits, Title V operating permits, PSD, BACT, SOCMI NESHAPs, SOCMI NSPS, Boiler and Engine NSPS/NESHAP, MATS, Iron & Steel NSPS/NESHAP, etc.).In his 17-year tenure with Trinity, Mr. Zimmer performs work for a number of industries, including universities, steam & power generation, general manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, surface coating, steel industry, primary and secondary aluminum, scrap steel, organic & inorganic chemicals, ferroalloy industry, gray/ductile iron foundry, metal fabrication, nitric acid manufacturing, printing, rubber products, roofing products, mineral products industry, reinforced plastic composites, gypsum manufacturing, mining, cosmetics, Portland cement, glass and frit manufacturing, coal-to-gas, O&G, brick, etc.As a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio and Kentucky, he has an extensive background in various aspects of environmental engineering, from preliminary stack design to ventilation system modifications to choosing the suitable air pollution control devices. Mr. Zimmer has authored and co-authored various papers and presented at national and regional conferences, Additionally, he is an instructor for Trinity’s Air Regulations and Permitting in Kentucky (and Ohio). Mr. Zimmer earned his B.S. degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
