•Teaching various aspects of a comprehensive outpatient diabetes self-management curriculum twice weekly• Assist in providing one-on-one education on basic nutrition management, blood glucose testing, and exercise• Coordinate specific aspects of program development for special projects, i.e. brochure design, power point presentation creation, evaluation construction, and analysis• Consult with other service providers as necessary to support program activities, i.e. library services, marketing department as well as Food and Nutrition, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Department of Surgery• Assist in administrative duties of the Diabetes Education Center i.e. ordering supplies, updating billing information, copying and faxing pertinent documents, attending to phone calls, mailing patient information packets and other material as necessary
