Based in Child Abuse Investigation Team. Worked on cases of child abuse, neglect and harm. Cases ranged from being referred to children's social care for universal help to s17 child in need assessment or s47 child protection proceedings.

Based in the Corporate Health and Safety team in the Governance and Compliance directorate, my role later involved me taking on the Health and Safety Manager role of Genesis Property Maintenance Services (GPMS). My role involved working with the Care and Support directorate, assisting all care services (children's and adults residential homes, mental health schemes, sheltered housing and supported living schemes, extra care and nursing homes). My role involved reviewing local and overarching policies, reviewing on-site documentation (risk assessments, care plans, staff rotas, COSHH risk assessments and FRAs). - Act as the lead on health and safety in Property Services, attending toolbox talks and raising health and safety concerns (such as PPE, safe working practices, violence form residents), fleet management amongst various other such duties- Liaise with external contractors and take on principal designer role on large scale projects- Assisting with monitoring performance across the business through KPIs on the Clearview software - Assisting the Corporate Head of Health and Safety with monthly accident and incident reports and meeting with heads of services to discuss leading and lagging figures- Assist the Health and Safety Advisers in the team with administration when receiving Notices of Deficiencies and liaising with fire authorities- Work with the compliance team on liaising with contractors such as Kier and Capita on asbestos, legionella and fire safety as well as general health and safety compliance in line with the CDM Regulations 2015 and relevant ACOPs- Manage the fleet in conjunction with the administration team, ensuring driving licence, eyesight and MOT checks are carried out periodically and driving safety is monitored and maintained - Work on producing relevant health and safety policies and procedures for Property Services, including fleet and risk management

I was approached by the councillor for Buckhurst Hill East to join the party (as a councillor was needed for the Buckhurst Hill West region). Whilst Buckhurst Hill East is a predominantly Green Party stronghold, Buckhurst Hill West largely votes Conservative, although recent research had shown the Green Party could take the lead in seats in the West region. To reactively respond to resident concerns, I worked with numerous organisations - the Highways England, Environment Agency, local Essex Police, Thames Water as well as various construction companies, local businesses and the local authority. I built relationships with other councillors and maintained existing links with members from all organisations. My work with residents involved investigating antisocial behaviour, protecting local green spaces, supporting local businesses and being a general presence for residents to contact in situations that arise needing to be investigated/addressed.

Joining as a Health and Safety Coordinator, my role later evolved as I took on managerial duties to meet the needs of the organisation. Working primarily with the newly built Season brand of the company, my role as health and safety manager saw me coordinate actions that have been highlighted in fire risk assessments for these new schemes. I also provided fire safety advice and consulted with directors and senior managers on fire risk management strategies and policies. I assisted general and project managers in creating fire log folders and addressing any areas of concern (regarding the health and safety of customers and staff). I also assisted with facilities management in terms of ordering PIBs, fire fighting/protection equipment and fire safety/awareness/warden training and monitoring M&E repairs and works. My capacity also involves the following:1. Monitoring maintenance and incident reporting/recording in all One Housing schemes2. Drafting and preparing inspection reports for schemes after having visited and inspected. 3. Hold regular meetings with senior management to discuss auditing findings and areas of concern from inspections, as well as regular fortnightly meetings with the heads of asset management, fire management and water sanitation teams from One Direct, One Housing's primary maintenance company.4. Arrange health and safety forum meetings at the end of every quarter to discuss KPIs and update directors on the general affairs of health and safety within the directorate. 5. Worked with corporate health and safety team on drafting policies, joint inspections and recording/investigating accidents, incidents and near miss reports. 6. Worked in conjunction with the Health and Safety team in One Direct on repairs and maintenance works, areas of concern and complaints.

Undertaking voluntary work whilst studying undergraduate degree. Offering free, impartial advice to members of the public, Whitechapel Citizens Advice functions as a branch of the national charity organisation, Citizens Advice Bureau. 1. To assess clients in the interview, listening to their case and assessing whether they require further legal advice or an appointment with an adviser. Some clients may be provided with assisted information (such as contact numbers for local homeless, debt or housing organisations) or will be signposted to the relevant organisation.2. Contacting other organisations (such as the Pension Service, DWP, landlords, local authorities and local debt advice centres) on behalf of clients through letters, emails and fax. 3. Inputting client information and case notes into CAB database. 4. Meeting and greeting clients at the reception as well as taking messages for fellow advisors.5. Admin duties also involve opening and recording all post as well as managing the office diary, in accordance with company policy. 6. Acting on behalf of clients in cases and representing clients in front of debtors, creditors and other 3rd parties.7. Acting on behalf of clients in court (and preparing bundles) for a number of debt, housing and consumer cases.

Tutoring two young boys Arabic, I have started working from the alphabet with both students through to forming words and pronunciation. One student has progressed on to becoming a confident, fluent reader as well as being able to write Arabic. My second student has recently started forming words and is now learning the numerous Arabic grammar and pronunciation rules.

The Kiran Project offers a holistic range of services for women fleeing domestic violence. These services range from involving the women in training courses to offering them legal advice and signposting them to appropriate agencies. 1. Assisting the outreach worker in filing and taking calls2. Networking with other professionals at careers fairs and events organized with other organisations. 3. Carrying out refuge searches for vulnerable women and their children to need to be housed immediately.

The Centre serves as a research organisation, researching into how to build effective communication with those on the autism spectrum through the use of digital media. 1. Provide one-to-one support to adults with learning disabilities 2. Shadow the technical support assistant in learning how the easy-to-construct blogging website, Klikin, operates.

My role as Student Ambassador has varied from working in the university call centre to working at university open days. 1. To work in a variety of roles on university open days, from greeting prospective students and directing them to where they need to go whilst answering queries prospective students or their parents/carers have. 2. Set up stalls and clear them away efficiently with other Student Ambassadors.3. To work in the university call centre, calling students who have either applied to the university and those who have already received offers.
