From April 1994 to March 1996, I looked after licensing/privatisation of telecom services in DOT. This included drafting of telecom license agreements for GSM mobile, Radio Paging and VSAT services in conciliation with all stake holders. Directly assisted Member Planning Commission, who was convener of Group on Telecom & IT set under GoM, for resolving issues of telecom sector in the year 2000-2001. Represented DoT in FIPB for over 10 years and participated / represented India/DoT in many bilateral and multilateral meetings in India and abroad.
