With a Master of Fine Arts in Photography (magna cum laude) from the Academy of Art University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Arts from the University of the Arts, I bring over a decade of teaching and artistic experience to the proverbial table. My formal training in visual art and design is complemented by learning traditional darkroom methods under the guidance of world-renowned master photographer and Princeton University professor Emmet Gowin.During my tenure at AAU, I have taught a diverse range of courses, from Color and Light, Concept and Critical Processes, Digital Photography Concepts & Techniques to Documentary, consistently earning high evaluations from my students. I have also contributed to course development, served on the thesis review panel, advised graduate students on their thesis projects, and facilitated workshops for incoming students to enhance their remote learning experience. I am dedicated to continually supporting diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability, as one of my core motivations as a teacher is to encourage diverse perspectives and deep personal exploration through art.As an artist, I have exhibited my work at numerous locations across the United States, including the Biggs Museum of American Art in Delaware, Galatea Fine Art in Massachusetts, Newspace Center for Photography in Oregon, The Cole Art Center in Texas, and The Center of Fine Art Photography in Colorado, among others.
