I am a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner seeing patients at the Duke Health System. My primary focus is managing patients 65 and older with co-morbidities, cognitive or memory difficulties, mobility issues, falls, advanced life planning, and care needs. My goal is to prioritize quality-of-life and help to establish and meet my patient's goals of care. My treatments are individualized to each patient, their families, and care giver's needs. I collaborate with various care teams to provide the highest quality and most compassionate care, while also providing resources to properly manage these conditions for my patients. I was previously a cardiac specialty certified nurse for seven years with three years of floating experience with various populations including pulmonary, renal, thoracic, orthopedic, surgical, and oncology. I have worked in all levels of care including acute, intermediate, intensive, and emergent. I completed a rigorous preceptorship with Duke Primary Care for over 500 hours and graduated from Duke University’s AGNP program with honors in 2022. Certified in ACLS, BLS, & CVRN. EPIC Super User with experience in teaching EPIC System.
