Nabila Zar Malick is an expert in gender politics, governance and community mobilisation, with a career spanning over three decades. Starting her career as a journalist, she switched to the development sector two decades ago and has since become a leading voice and advocate for human rights in Pakistan. She has led largescale, globally recognised projects in various capacities. She has organised and moderated discussion panels with key stakeholders, developed training workshops, spearheaded donation drives, spoken at international platforms such as the UN Commission on Population and Development (UNCPD), and Universal Periodic Review (UPR), and conducted critical data research. She has worked extensively to advance Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. As part of the core team at International Planned Parenthood Federation, she helped developed the Sexual Rights Declaration. During the course of her work, she has had the opportunity to network with activists and decision makers at the local, regional and global levels. She brings a unique perspective to any project requiring a nuanced understanding of communication, human rights, resource management, or geopolitical sensitivities. She is motivated by a desire to make human rights accessible to all, and has worked consistently to achieve local and regional policy objectives.
