About Nacho Garcia

I started programming BASIC at the age of 8 on a Sinclair ZX81. As amateur, at the age of 15, I published my first game using assembly language for the ZX Spectrum. I continued developing for PC as I grounded the studio "Mixt Dimension"In 1999 I moved to Barcelona to start working at Bit Managers where I programmed for Nintendo consoles: Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. At GBA I would be Lead Programmer.I founded Abylight in 2003, becoming the company's CEO. In 2010, I passed the leadership role to a new partner to concentrate on creative and technical direction as CTO.I consider myself an heir of the hacker culture, as it was known at the MIT in the '60s: "What hackers had in common was mainly love of excellence and programming. They wanted to make their programs that they used be as good as they could. They also wanted to make them do neat things. They wanted to be able to do something in a more exciting way than anyone believed possible and show "Look how wonderful this is. I bet you didn't believe this could be done."
