Leading medicinal chemistry, biology, pharmacology and DMPK research groups involved in small molecule drug discovery (NCE) arm of Innovative Medicines at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.,

Leading In-Vitro Biology (Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Protein Science, Cell Biology and Immunology) and DMPK Groups for NCE Research and providing guidance and mentorship to the teams to develop specialized assays and to drive Discovery programs for different indications including Immuno-oncology, Oncology and Inflammation. In conjunction with the other functions, actively support as well as provide leadership in prosecuting drug discovery programs.

Leading a group of immunologists and translational biologists working on Immuno-oncology, inflammatory and anti-infective projects. Responsibilities includes, target identification, assay development, target validation, understanding proof of concept and mechanisms of action. Project team lead for immuno-oncology targets. Responsible for candidate identification, optimization and supporting biomarker identification, immunogenicity and translational studies for candidate IND filing. Co-coordinating with other functions for drug development. Translational group is focusing on indication selection for oncology, Biomarker identification and validation. I was working on role of IL-4/IL-13 receptor functions on DCs, T cells and on macrophages in allergic asthma. Studying the role of sex hormones in skewing the functions of DCs, T cells and there by inducing allergic-asthma deferentially.

I was working on Innate immune response to malaria parasites.
