CurrentPayroll/Benefits• Processes multi-state bi-weekly payroll for 2 company codes with 70+ employees • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data; updates payroll records, verifies timesheets, processes garnishments, ensures deductions are properly applied, and resolves payroll discrepancies.• Oversaw and managed the seamless transition between benefit providers• Spearheaded the implementation of the new HCMS• Oversees and manages all benefit plans and claims Recruitment/Staffing • Oversees the employee life-cycle process, including attracting and recruiting talent, hiring, onboarding, development, retention, and termination. • Partners with hiring managers to ensure all locations/properties are properly staffed• Manages the performance appraisal review process• Handles all unemployment claims and attends unemployment hearings on behalf of the company• Handles staffing issues, such as mediating disputes and overseeing the disciplinary action process. Employee Engagement o Partnered with the Magic City Toy Drive in 2023 and collected 23 toys to donate to kids in the communityo Effectively planned and managed Engel Realty’s first Employee Appreciation Dayo Partnered with United Way of Central AL for the “2024 Be Somebody Campaign” o Presented and secured sponsorship opportunity for local community event• Introduced the Engagement Pulse Survey that resulted in an increase to the time off policy offered making us more competitive within the market HR• Serves as a liaison between senior leadership and employees• Manages and maintains data within our HCMS• Increased company social media presence and establish an employer brand strategy in partnership with local marketing firm • Responsible for ACA filing • Responsible for Worker’s Compensation reporting • Initiated “HR Connect: Navigating with Nakeia” – a monthly professional development session for residential property managers
