UI/UX designer and frontend web developer focusing on HTML and CSS. Team lead for web and product teams. I worked with team members to establish our CSS best practices, focusing on using BEM for clean, readable CSS. As a team lead, I initiated regular training sessions where we could learn from each other. On the product end, I worked with team members to establish our design process, with a focus on market viability, technical feasibility, and desirability (both in terms of aesthetics and user experience). I work directly with clients on a regular basis moving their products from an initial idea to production-ready designs. Throughout the process, I gather input from developers to ensure technical feasibility. My designs include notes for developers to better communicate intended interactions and functionality.

Salt Lake City

I teach courses in painting and drawing for the Art Department at Westminster College. I've taught beginning drawing, beginning painting, intermediate painting, and advanced painting. I received a Griffin Grant to create a training module on creativity in the classroom for fellow adjunct faculty (see linked media). In 2017 I earned Core Adjunct Faculty status.

Oversaw all editorial aspects of this weekly newspaper, from layout design to story and photo assignments. Managed employees in production, ad design, writing and photography.Received statewide and regional awards for design, news writing, editorial writing, feature photography and sports photography. The Sentinel was named best in state twice (2007, 2009) by the Utah Press Association (UPA) and received the UPA Community Service Award in 2007 and 2009. Over three years of statewide competition, we received 46 awards.

Oversaw graphic design aspects of the newspaper. Managed the production team. Completed writing and photography assignments.

As a graduate student I designed and taught courses in the USU Art Department, including 2D Design and Drawing II. I also taught drawing on a study abroad in Germany in the summer of 2005.

As a senior at BYU I taught two semesters of Italian 102.
