As Cashier/Prep at Unidine Corporation (WEX,South Portland location) I have many responsibilities. I am the first person employees of WEX or visitors see and make contact with. I, in short, run the front of the house. Most of my duties entail making sure the cafeteria is set up and ready to open at 7:30 am.There are a number of coffees offered and restocked, breakfast and snack items neatly displayed, keeping the cafeteria clean,operating a highly computerized cash register/cc machine, taking clients orders and assembling sandwiches, serving hot entrees, filling utencil,napkin dispensers, all things needed in a cafeteria set up. I take inventory of paper products, soda,coffee,various items required. I am in charge of appropriately stocking the soda coolers and making sure the cafeteria has accurate signing of food offered that day. Our cafeteria also fills catering orders from an other building as well as the building I work in. Some days we have several breakfast and or lunch functions. I also have many cleaning duties at days end such as sweeping, cleaning grill,breaking down, covering and storing salad and soup bar, deli bar, hot entrée bar and coffee bar. counters are wiped down,turning off any hot or warming device. The most important aspect of my job I feel is the customer service part. I enjoy interaction with the employees and doing everything I can to service them the best way possible. Going that extra mile to assist them with whatever need or question they may have.

I was responsible for preparation of multiple catering orders per day while waiting on customers in the café and preparing breakfast and lunch items for them. I supervised 1-3 employees and was responsible for taking catering orders over the phone. I also ran a small cash register and credit card machine. I kept track of items that needed reordering. Cleaning duties were also expected of me. I was rarely late and never missed a day of work in 2 years of employment.

As Owner,Operator of Headquarters Hair Salon, I was responsible for my own business and its everyday operations such as ordering supplies, taking appointments over the phone, dealing with money, being punctual for these appointments. My salon offered waxing, perms, coloring, highlighting, cutting/styling and shampoo sets. I also had to keep an accurate bookkeeping system. Was responsible for cleaning my own salon and my equipment. This was a very successful business I own for many years (over 20) and had many loyal clients whom I grew very close to.
