As a member of the after-school team I lead after-school enrichment activities for middle school students, most of whom are immigrants and refugees. Activities included a Junior Achievement Financial Literacy curriculum, Spelling Club, and the Youth Advisory Board. I lead an effort to inform staff on how to engage with youth who are experiencing or have experienced trauma. Engaged families in supporting the youth and worked as a team to meet program goals.

Oversee incident reports, inventory, and scheduling for Chicago Park District beaches and pools locations. As a Senior Lifeguard and Swim Instructor (2012-2016) I performed all the duties of a lifeguard in addition to planning and leading swim techniques and water safety, Junior lifeguard competitions and the Chicago Triathlon and leading lifeguard in-services. Administered preventive safety, first aid, CPR, waterfront safety and oxygen as needed to patrons.
