My experience as an on-air spokesperson on QVC (2006 – 2017) and on the main stage in classical concerts and musical theater (1985 – 2006) brings added dimensions to working with clients on public speaking, leadership presence, and authentic communication. I am compassionately direct as I instill courage, confidence, and clarity in leaders and rising stars to deliver their intended messages and have the impact they need—on a business stage, on-air, or in a board meeting, conference room, one-on-one conversation, networking event, or social venue. With international experience, I bridge critical differences, nuances, and communication in multicultural environments. I am currently working with DISTINCT, a boutique communications consulting firm that works with executives and top leadership teams to humanize business communications and articulate powerful ideas that matter and inspire. Focus areas for training and individual coaching include persuasive communications and communicating a compelling vision. After earning a master’s in theology, I launched NancyHicksLive, a nonprofit through which I lead, inspire, and equip people all over the world to live, lead, and deliver their messages in ways that matter. With daily engagement of 30,000+ global followers across multiple communication platforms, I ignite confidence and power in people through effective communication. In my downtime, I love to hike in the woods, take meandering walks in the city, and enjoy long, thoughtful conversations over a fabulous meal with friends and family.
