Abraham Lincoln said "A lawyer's time and advice are his stock in trade." It has been my mission to give the attorneys I support the time to do what they do best by spending my time doing what a paralegal can do more efficiently. This saves the attorneys' time and adds value to the representation of a client's interests.I am a passionate, inquisitive litigation paralegal! Utilizing my research and investigation skills to uncover facts the attorneys can use in representation of their clients is my favorite thing about my career. My analysis of records or testimony contrasted with facts disclosed in discovery often leads to extraction of inconsistencies. This can be key in assisting my attorneys' winning at trial! In 2021, I was finally able to return to Florida. This is something that I have wanted to do. 2020 was supposed to have been the year it happened, but the pandemic changed that. I am very happy to start my new chapter in Florida where I obtained my Paralegal degree and began my career. I had the pleasure of mentoring a junior paralegal in my prior California firm who started as an intern. I believe it is important for experienced paralegals to mentor and train paralegals coming into the field. I have also volunteered giving back countless hours to my profession through serving the local paralegal association in my previous home-town of San Jose (Paralegal Association of Santa Clara County ("PASCCO")) in various positions on the board including VP Education, Seminar Committee Chair, Programs Committee Chair, Membership Chair, CAPA Director, and Board Advisor. I volunteered additional time on the state level as a director on the board of the California Alliance of Paralegal Associations ("CAPA") from 2015-2018 culminating in service as VP Administration in 2018. In that role, I oversaw and organized CAPA's annual June Conference. I served on various committees including the California Certified Paralegal (CCP) Committee where I was one of only 3 members who wrote the inaugural CCP exam launched in 2018. Currently, I volunteer as legislative liaison with Convention of States and I serve on the seminar committee for Tampa Bay Paralegal Association (TBPA).I am an Advanced Certified paralegal through NALA and a NALA member. In my off-duty time, I enjoy interior design projects, and cooking new foods.
