Started Encore Consulting LLC in 2012 to provide commercial loan consulting services to regional financial institutions <$10B in assets including pre-acquisition commercial loan due diligence, loan review, complex loan workouts and forbearance agreements, loan program development, loan policies and procedures, deal structuring and restructuring, relationship management and credit risk management. Experienced in lender and management training. Created and administered commercial lender training and development programs from loan interviewing through underwriting, credit relationship management, credit administration, and problem loan resolution.

I took a hiatus from banking to manage the transition and ultimately the wind down of my late husband's restaurant management business. While I was the President of these entities (total of 12 restaurants in two states since 2005), heading into 2010 it became evident that I needed to give these businesses my full time attention to complete a wind down of the business. Transition was completed in 2012, when I resumed part-time involvement with one franchise restaurant remaining. I sold that remaining interest in 2019, extricating myself from the restaurant business to return to my passion, commercial lending.

I was employed by Sterling Bank from 1995 to 2010 and held 5 positions in management of increasing responsibility all with credit management responsibilities. Positions included:EVP, Chief Portfolio Manager - Responsible for the composition and risk management of the portfolio of $12B in loan and investment assets, and provided credit and portfolio reporting to the Board of Directors. Chairperson Executive Credit Committee and ALLL. Developed and updated loan policies, procedures, programs and underwriting guidelines for all types of lending. While in this EVP position, from 2008-2010, during the banking crisis, I also assumed the position of special project manager successfully reducing problem assets. My direct reports included the senior managers for Portfolio Management, Investments, and Special Assets. In 2008, Construction and Commercial Real Estate Credit Administration and REO were added to my team. In addition to developing and delivering extensive credit training in construction, commercial real estate, and C&I, developed strategies for complex and creative restructuring and loss minimization plan for problem loans/borrowers and non-performing assets. Created loan programs and oversaw all aspects of policy and procedure development and implementation. Led and managed credit related due diligence for acquistions and portfolio loan purchases and sales. Participated in executive level investor presentations. SVP, Chief Credit Officer - Oversaw Consumer Lending, Commercial Credit Administration including construction, CRE & C & I, Special Assets and REO. Chairperson of the Senior Credit Committee with direct involvement and credit authority within approval teams in all lending areas for complex large transactions and exceptions.
