Professional experience gained over many years while practicing from Coast to Coast.Have completed current contract as Consultant/Contractor for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System within the Office of Facility Planning and Development. This work spanned three of the local VA campuses, Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Livermore. Time Line: Fall of 2013 extended through mid June 2014 and was made possible by the firm of Parsons Brinckerhoff. This has been an outstanding opportunity to obtain a working knowledge of the processes of the VA Health Care System. My work designing, specifying and writing salient specifications has been a wonderful experience and was enhanced by the opportunity of working with such highly professional and friendly staff and of course, the vendors that supported my work in producing these critical documents. Prior Focus:Corporate Design fourteen years:Strategic planning, programming, conceptual design, fit analysis, design development, specification and implementation of corporate standards for space, furniture and finishes. Responsible for projects from concept through completion and finally into archives. Tools utilized: AutoCAD, Revit, Archibus and Tririga. Skill utilized: Being able to create and maintain positive and effective communication with clients, internal team and cross-functional team members which is critical to the individual project success and also for developing and maintaining contacts for the future..

Led the Board for the CA North Chapter of ASID. Provided leadership for our local chapter, acted as liason with ASID National, other ASID Chapters across the country for activities, training and legislation.Instrumental in the creation of the 2010 Working and Strategic Plan for the Chapter, acted as Co-Editor of specific editions of the SF Design Magazine and assisted with the creation of the 2009 Chapter Directory. Co-host for the Design Excellence Awards. This was a wonderful opportunity to meet and work closely with many outstanding designers, design students and Industry Partners both on the board and throughout the membership. It was my pleasure to support the Design Organizaton that has been an inspiration to me since first joining the design community so many years ago. I look forward to continuing an active participation with ASID.

Site Planning and Development Representative for the Real Estate Development / Workplace Solutions Division:Support of merger acquisition integrations.Strategic space planning and fit analysis for Bay Area and Field offices across the U.SDemising of space, creating layout for all hardwall areas, creating of all furniture & finish layouts which were then given to architect for creation of construction drawings.Overall programming and layout to placement of art...the final look and function of the environment was my responsibility to track and polish. .Studying trends in the corporate environment, use of space and furniture was an on-going and critical aspect. Aesthetics, function, economy, environmental impact, employee interaction, productivity, retention were considerations of new furniture product and planning. LSI existing standard included both Haworth and Steelcase systems furniture with Woodtech utilized for private office and conference rooms.It was a pleasure working LSI, with so many wonderful people from the LSI offices across the US. New Accounts Designer: Responsibilites included programming, design, specification of Steelcase product using Cap Specs and AutoCAD. Proj. of Note: Intel Corporation's Mission Valley Campus, working on site to produce and supevise production of Steelcase installation plans for customized Avenir product for approx. 568,000 GSF facility. Cordinated move data to Facility Information Systems. As team member during compression phase of building SC12, over 3000 offices were built or reconfigured. Responsibilities included planning, site verification, move documentation, supervision and post move review.

Created in tandem with owners, the Malibu Branch Office of the Matrix Organization located on Pacific Coast Highway. This office was created initially to provide design for Southern CA crisis survivors after fire, mudslide and earthquake bombarded Southern CA. Our services and support were very well received. This was a challenging time as we worked with our clients to program, develop, create highly functional yet creative design solutions during this emotionally charged period in their lives. .Detailed design solutions were created for our clients in both Malibu and surrounding areas. From concept to fruition, all aspects of the design were covered including custom mill work, unique use of tile/stone work, lighting for the interior as well as the exterior living areas. All areas were developed and fine tuned for the clients needs and pleasure. The interior and exterior blended to complement the surrounding environment of both landscape and seascape. Letters of appreciation are available from the owners. It was my pleasure to be able to assist such wonderful clients in the renovation and/or creation of their new homes. It was a wonderful experience.
