After high school I received my certification in dental assisting. Three years later, I pursued my Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations/communications from the University of Northern Iowa. Following graduation, I had the opportunity to travel North America as a flight attendant with American Airlines based at Chicago's O'Hare Field. I settled in Des Moines, Iowa in 1990.In 1990 I began my professional sales career with Johnson Brother's of Iowa as a wine rep for E & J Gallo Wine Company. I was responsible for a 355 account territory managing hotel, restaurant, bar and country club clients in Des Moines and surrounding communities.In 2004, I accepted a newly created position as the Marketing Manager with R& R Realty Group for their multi-family housing division. I was involved in marketing the apartment community, apartment leasing, coordinating furnished corporate housing, fundraising and resident events. I created and managed the 2004 / 2005 Paw Walks for the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. These fundraising events drew hundreds of animal lovers to our 'pet friendly" community. I was responsible for creating advertising/PSA's with local TV, newspaper and radio. I received an Award of Excellence and company recognition for my work on these fundraising/marketing events. In 2009 I went to work for Elevate Living. I specialized in creating and managing their furnished, corporate housing program in the Des Moines area, adding Omaha in 2015. The Elevate Living corporate housing program is the only one of it's kind in Des Moines where the property management company has their own professional corporate housing program allowing prospects the opportunity to avoid paying high commissions to relocation companies or expensive extended stay hotel rates. In 2015 I was nominated for the Pinnacle of Excellence Award, supported by the Greater Iowa Apartment Association, as leasing professional of the year. In May 2015 I joined the staff at ILC Resources.
