As an Instructor in the Medical Office Management program at the College of the North Atlantic, I am dedicated to equipping adult learners with the essential skills needed to meet their educational goals. My responsibilities encompass delivering a comprehensive curriculum that integrates both theoretical knowledge and practical applications in medical office procedures.I have developed a solid foundation in healthcare systems, medical terminology, billing, documentation, and patient management. My expertise allows me to craft engaging and relevant course materials tailored to the needs of adult learners, while my strong verbal and written communication skills enable me to clarify complex concepts and actively engage students. I prioritize providing constructive feedback and assessing performance in a supportive manner. Additionally, I am proficient in utilizing educational technology, including online teaching tools and learning management systems, to enhance the learning experience. My understanding of electronic health records (EHR) systems and other software used in medical office settings further supports my teaching.I am particularly passionate about mentoring students, guiding them as they navigate their educational and career paths, and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages participation and growth.
