Providing the community nutritional produce and organic edible plants in our nursery farm stand, we introduced our gluten free ancient grain breads to an enthusiastic reception a few years back and our calling was revealed.It was evident we could best serve nutritional needs both locally and regionally by providing our unique product dedicated to accommodating folks seeking allergen and GMO free breads.Our vegan breads are egg, dairy, soy, rice, oat and nut free.The high fiber, locally milled/minimally processed whole grains burn slow for a low glycemic, high energy result...with a soft and crusty texture that surprises.We bring the farm full circle in our new Bistro, offering locally sourced, organic produce in our vegetarian menu. We are a a community of professionals who pledge support to a local, emerging home-growing movement so all can enjoy the benefits of family food production, to include healthy Ancient Grain NON GMO bread from the bakery!We are dedicated at Shambala Farm to organically grown Permaculture principles with true care and intention, to include our feeds and soil development here. In our Food Forest gardens we feature perennial vegetables and plants in our yard conversions to food. We host weddings and offer full services in authentic surroundings at our working farm site, 10.6 acres on beautiful sunny Camano Island just an hours drive from Seattle.We envisage our local community, businesses, environment, and food systems intimately intertwined in the dance of sustainability.
