Conducted an assessment of Bella Vista Foundation's grantmaking for mothers and children in Marin County to assess the capacity of grantees to collect data and measure the impact of their efforts, and to provide feedback to the Foundation on the effectiveness of its grantmaking and whether its' expectations of grantees for data collection were reasonable and feasible.

Facilitated a collaborative process to refine the goals, objectives and membership of this cradle to career effort in one, low income neighborhood of Santa Cruz County. Included a comprehensive, nationwide, literature review, recommendations for organizational structure and leadership, and a final report that could be used for grant-seeking.

Initiated an evaluation function in this non-profit law and urban planning organization focused on policy change to develop healthy communities nationwide. Introduced a stages-of-change model for assessing progress toward policy change and applied it through a variety of case studies in such areas of walkable and bikable cities, and access to healthy foods. With Los Angeles Department of Public Health, conducted a survey of schools providing access to their recreational facilities after school hours to support a cost analysis of joint use. Served as an approved tobacco prevention evaluator for the organization's state funds.

Stepped in for a post survey and analysis of results of a two point-in-time survey (over three years) to assess the impact of a statewide effort to strengthen opportunities and supports for mental health consumers to successfully work in public and non-profit mental health organizations. Provided simplified report for all audiences with additional, visual charting of all findings.

Represented this national organization in California, staffed a statewide Executive Team, and participated in efforts to educate and support schools in California to develop and implement robust school wellness plans with emphasis on nutrition education, healthy school food, and physical activity during school hours. Publicized and managed a mini-grant program to 40 schools over the two years to support these activities.
