Purchasing Engineer
Current• Sourcing of all Electronics & Electrical components.• Online costing, floating the RFQ’s to various vendors.• Negotiating price, price validity, lead time, Freight, payment terms and other terms &condition of quotes.• Preparing RFQ’s to customer by plugging in the best price.• Arranging maximum no of free samples to support proto build.• Analyzing the purchase requirement as against firmed PO as well as forecast fromMaterial Planner.• Procure required materials in time with best price and lead time.• Finalization of vendors detail to be checked with AVL (Approved Vendor List).• Releasing both local and import PO to supplier in SAP within the turnaround time andwith highest level of accuracy.• Sending purchase order copies to the vendor and receiving confirmation for the receipt.• Pending orders reviewed with vendor for PULL IN or PUSH OUT every week based on theproject requirement.• Arranging the supplier meeting and analysis the issue and implement operationalefficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurementprocesses.• Managing the price changes, ECN, BOM revision and MM updates along withengineering team.• Coordinating with quality and vendor for NC clearance and rejection material disposal.• If there is any delay in procuring the material issue escalating to customer through topmanagement and simultaneously working with the alternate vendor to brining thematerial on time.• Maintain the inventory, Material cost and on time completion of shortage requirement.• Managing the vendor and manufacturer data base.• Monitoring with logistics and freight forwarder for shipment till delivery to factory.• Communicate the status of material, receipt and risk to Material Planner for betterproduction planning• Putting efforts towards clearing the vendor payments as per the payment terms.• Risk assessing and mitigating it at early stage itself.• Knowledge in ROHS, REACH, CSA & UL
