• Selected for the Mississippi State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Undergraduate Research Scholars Program (URSP).• Created a contingent valuation survey using online Qualtrics program to place a value on an intangible good, the sports tradition of being able to ring cowbells at home Mississippi State Bulldogs football games in Davis Wade Stadium.• Collected data from over 4000 respondents via in-person interviews at home game tailgates on iPads with the Qualtrics application, as well as e-mailed surveys to all “msstate.edu” addresses.• Analyzed the results using maximum likelihood estimation with the SAS System to create a Random Utility Model and estimate the willingness to accept value for the right to ring cowbells.• Awarded Second Place for Social Sciences talk presenting the research at the Shackouls Honors College Undergraduate Research Symposium on April 23, 2015.• Wrote the final results in a paper and presented at the 2015 American Agricultural Economics Association annual meeting in San Francisco• Published in the International Journal of Sports Finance in August 2017.

Malawi

• Created four different questionnaires to gather data from small-scale farmers and government workers regarding the introduction of irrigation systems in Malawi.• Analyzed the collected data for trends in impacts of the newly implemented irrigation practices.• Observed and recorded challenges faced by the farmers and FAO in the use of irrigation systems, as well as suggested solutions to these challenges.• Consolidated the information into a final report and presentation given to FAO Malawi staff.• Presented "The Impacts of Irrigation for Small Farmers in Malawi" poster at the Universities Fighting World Hunger Summit at the University of Missouri in Feburary 2016.
