I have 11+ years of work experience in health systems. This experience consists of 10+ years in Chhattisgarh and an initial year in Bihar. In Chhattisgarh - (From 2014 onwards): I have been working with the State Health Resource Centre (SHRC) which is an additional technical capacity to Ministry of Health in Chhattisgarh state. In my current designation my work has been focused around primary and secondary care services, especially strengthening of CPHC services, human resources for health, essential drugs and diagnostics. My work involves field assessments of health services, operations research based on analysis of secondary and program data, analysis of primary household survey datasets and review of government plans and guidelines. I have many international publications and presented my work at national and international platforms. My work also involves interacting with government implementers, mid level managers and service providers for necessary assessments, advocacy and capacity building. Prior to the above role, I started my career in Bihar in 2013. There I worked as a Hospital Manager at sub-district level public hospital. I got experience in functioning of a First Referral Unit public facility catering to a highly impoverished population in a phase when there was a moderate improvement in resources available for healthcare. I have good skills on handling data sets and analyzing them using different statistical software. I have also collected qualitative data and written reports. I have received training on epidemiology and data management, rapid evidence synthesis, mortality and morbidity analysis using global burden of disease datasets.
