We operate along the Murray River, from Kerang to the South Australian border, in the municipalities of Gannawarra, Swan Hill and Mildura. We provide this extensive region with urban water and sewerage treatment, supply and disposal; river quality water for stock and irrigation; and collection and disposal of subsurface irrigation drainage. Our goal is to contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of our region and its many communities with environmentally responsible and sustainable water management.

The Northern Mallee Leaders Program (NMLP) aims to create leaders for vibrant and sustainable communities across the Sunraysia region by;Offering potential and emerging leaders an intensive annual program which explores the major issues and opportunities within our regionEnabling participants to interact with, and learn from, existing leadersEnhancing participants’ leadership skills and developing region wide networksInspiring participants to take on leadership opportunities in their communitiesEmpowering and encouraging participants to help shape their communityProviding participants with the skills, knowledge and networks to make a differenceEach year up to 24 participants are accepted, with the aim of reflecting the diversity of the communities living and working within our region – primary industries, business, government and community.The program runs for a period of ten months each year between February and November and comprises 26 program days (an average of two days per month).Each program day is held in a different part of the region effectively showcasing the region, while field trips to Canberra and Melbourne add another valuable dimension to this unique experience.

With a focus on managing a grants funding program of over $450,000, I supported local event organisers in accessing funding and running events that created economic and social wellbeing outcomes for our region.
