I have extensive experience in the audit of multinationals and local companies in various industries including Financial Services, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Government Organizations, and not-for-profit entities. My responsibilities, as audit partner include:• Serve clients as Engagement Partner for various industries including manufacturing and financial sector;• On big clients, work as key partner (second partner) to support signing partner (engagement partner);• Direct and manage multiple engagement teams in performing audits, interim reviews, and other-assurance related engagements;• Plan and execute client engagements including budgeting, scheduling, and staffing with objective of achieving efficiencies and effectiveness;• Lead IFRS 9 and IFRS 16 teams for impact assessment, and• Participate together with local partners in preparation of annual budgets of the local office.I am the National Professional Practice Director (NPPD) and Practice Review Director (PRD) of Deloitte Pakistan and IFRS Specialist. In role of NPPD, I am responsible for monitoring audit quality across the member firm. As PRD, I lead practice review of the firm together with external partner from another firm, nominated by Deloitte Global Quality team.Being NPPD and IFRS Specialist, I have conducted trainings on Audit Excellence and IFRS Excellence for last many years for audit professionals, based on the curriculum developed by Deloitte learning team. He has also trained finance teams of some clients on IFRSs.
