Over 29 years of experience in Highway and Transport Engineering Projects in India and in other countries funded by World Bank, ADB and State/National Governments. Major thrust areas cover construction supervision of Highway, Design and project preparation for Feasibility Studies, Detailed Project Report, Design for expressways, major highways, and feeder road, route selection and design for new alignment, bypass studies; construction supervision, maintenance supervision, contract administration and quality control of works. Work experience in India, U.A.E, Bhutan, Nepal and Mozambique in all types of terrain and climatic conditions. Knowledge of surveys, using sophisticated electronic survey instruments viz GPS, Total Station, EDM, and Digital Levels etc for highway, bridge and railway projects.Major thrust areas cover review of design standard and contract document as per FIDIC norms, selection and approval of borrow areas and quarry, approval of concrete mix design, examination of Contractor’s claims and variation orders, cost control, projects monitoring and project management, administration of construction units and deployment of resources and liaison works. Fully conversant with the contracts based on FIDIC, with the specifications for highway projects based on Indian (IRC, BIS and MoRTH) and AASHTO/ASTRAROAD standards. Familiar with the use of Geo-textile and reinforced earth technology. Experience also includes installation, operation and management of the latest computer software for design and drafting of highway projects, viz. HDM-4, Mx-Road, MS Project, Auto-CAD etc; operational capability includes design, geometric design, preparation of input data, carrying out analysis, design, drafting and interpretation of results.
